When they started out over 20 years ago, James and Lelia Beechinor employed only one person. Back then this was a “start-up” for this fairly inexperienced team and it was only in March 2003 that the business really started to get up and running. At the time, the forecourt scenario started to take off as a concept. As time went on, James and Lelia made changes including operating the first car wash facility in the town of Kilmallock and the fuel tanks on the forecourt were upgraded to new specification levels. The real recipe for their success continues to be the significantly low price of fuel to the customer.
Since then James and Lelia Beechinor have been a great success and an asset to the town employing a total of over 30 people. In 2010 they purchased another site on the N20 main Cork to Limerick road and refurbished the shop and forecourt to an impressive standard. Last year, they purchased another property on the main street in the town of Kimallock and plan to reopen another Spar shop there in the next few months.
